Postdoctoral Researcher in the EU Research Project:
The role of Technology, Models, and Metrics in the Socially Responsible Investing Field,

IESE Business School invites applications for one postdoctoral researcher position at the Department of Strategic Management. The position will be funded by the EU 7th Framework Programme, European Research Council Starting Grant. The candidate will work at IESE Business School Campus in Barcelona (Spain) with Professor Fabrizio Ferraro on the project “The role of Technology, Models, and Metrics in the Socially Responsible Investing Field,” ERC-2010-StG – 263604- SRITECH.
The research project aims at studying the emergence of the socially responsible investing field, with special focus on the role that technologies, models and metrics are playing in the development of these new investing practices. The term responsible investing refers to the consideration of the impact of environmental, social and governance factors (ESG) in the choice of financial investments, and the integration of these factors in traditional financial portfolio analysis and engagement activity.
Student with a PhD in management, economic sociology or economics/finance are particularly encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in exploring the social dimension of financial markets, with either a qualitative or a quantitative empirical approach.
The postdoctoral researcher will conduct field work and interviews, write field notes, collaborate in the data analysis and write research reports and academic papers with the Principal Investigator. S/he will be funded initially for one year, with the possibility of an extension of one extra year.
